Visit Us at Experimental Biology 2013 in Boston

BC_ss2Experimental Biology 2013 will take place on April 20-24 in Boston as scheduled and MBF will be in attendance. Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the recent tragedy in Boston.

Visit us at booth #968 and learn about the benefits of using Biolucida Cloud for medical education. Biolucida Cloud is software that simulates the experience of using a light microscope when used in conjunction with virtual slides. It contains effective learning management tools that allow educators to share virtual slides with students for in-class lectures, online courses, course work, and tests.

To learn more about using virtual slides in medical courses, we invite you to attend “Histology Teaching: Past, Present And Future” (April 22, 2:30pm, room 104AB). This symposium features a talk by Drs. Robert Ogilvie and Roger Sawyer. They will discuss their experiences teaching a popular online histology course at the University of South Carolina.

Biolucida Cloud is also a powerful tool for research. Drs. Gaillard, Karten, and Sauvé recently published a paper in the Journal of Comparative Neurology that includes access to their entire data set in the form of virtual slides. Anyone who is interested can view the virtual slides with the free Biolucida viewer.

Jack Glaser, President of MBF Bioscience, and Nathan O’Connor, Product Manager, will be at our booth to answer your questions and provide demos for Neurolucida, Stereo InvestigatorWormLab, and more. We look forward to seeing you there.
