Big Image Storage: Solved
Biolucida is a long-term solution for storing your big image data. It can handle many different types of image data, such as confocal image stacks (z-stacks), image montages, 2D or 3D virtual slides - no matter how large the file sizes. It can be set up in your lab-on existing IT equipment or new equipment -or you can let us host your images.

Share with Select Colleagues, or with the Public
Do you want to share a few images with a collaborator? No problem. Want to publish an entire image data set along with your paper? You can do that too. You can also start a publicly accessible image data repository like the GENSAT project with Biolucida. The possibilities are endless and you always have control over your images.

Analyze Images
Images stored with Biolucida can be opened and analyzed with Neurolucida 360 for automatic neuron reconstruction and analysis or Stereo Investigator for unbiased stereology. You can run Neurolucida 360, Stereo Investigator - Desktop or BrainMaker on your laptop to analyze images anywhere - home, the library, a coffee shop, etc. And if a collaborator has Neurolucida or Stereo Investigator, he or she can analyze an image data set that you share through Biolucida.
