AutoMove

Purpose

AutoMove is an automatic centering procedure. It acts in conjunction with the AutoMove area, represented as a dashed rectangle, to help enable you to trace structures larger than a single field of view. The tracing and the image move together so that there is no loss in registration.

Using AutoMove

Click Automove on the Move or Workspace ribbon to enable AutoMove.

Define AutoMove area

Click Define AutoMove on the Workspace ribbon.

  • Drag the mouse to draw a rectangle from top left to bottom right. The new AutoMove area is applied immediately.

Setting the AutoMove area to encompass the central 2/3 of the screen typically reduces visual confusion whenBrightSLICE executes a move to center a chosen peripheral point.

  • To cancel the operation, click Define AutoMove again.
  • If the AutoMove area is defined "backwards" (dragging from the lower right to the upper left corner), each point that is drawn is centered immediately, whether it is inside or outside the AutoMove area.

Open the Macro View window to get a better view of the AutoMove area.

About the center point

You can define the center point as either the center of the Main window or the center of the AutoMove area.

The center of the Main window is the default. To center the point at the center of the AutoMove area:

  1. Go to File>Preferences>Movement>AutoMove and Field Movement section.
  2. Check the Center Cursor in AutoMove Area box.
