Preferences: Branches
Purpose
Use Branches preferences to customize names and appearance for your contours, as well as visibility characteristics.
Access Branches preferences from File > Preferences > Tracing > Branches and click to open the Customize Branches window.
Customize branches
Click to access additional options in the Customize Branches window.
You can change some branch properties directly in the table that lists all of the branches:
Branch Name: To change a branch name, click the name (the table cell will become highlighted), then type in the new name. Keep the name under 12 characters.
Color: To change a branch color, double-click the color square next to the branch to open a color-picker. Select the desired color, then click to assign it to the branch (or you can click ).
Hidden: Check the box to hide branch (see also Hidden objects). If you have traced a branch, then hidden the branch, the hidden branch become invisible (until you unhide it by clearing the checkbox).
Create New Branch :

(optional) Type a name for the new branch into the box that says Branch Name.
- Click The new branch is added to the bottom of the table on the right side of the Customize Branches window.
Buttons
Click to delete a selected branch.
Click to make all hidden branches become visible.
Click to hide all branches.
Highlight a branch in the table, then click the button to change the branch color (or you can double-click the color box next to the branch name).
Restores the default colors.
