Import Image Sequence
Purpose
Import image sequences (i.e., videos or sequences of images) previously captured to train a detector using machine learning.
Videos
You can add AVI, MPG, MPEG, or MOV movie files to WormLab .
- Click the Import Image Sequence workflow step.
- In the Import Sequence dialog box, select a movie file.
- Click WormLab loads the movie file as a sequence in a new tab.
Images
You can add TIF, TIFF, JPG, or JPEG images to WormLab . You can add multiple files and you can mix file types.
- Click the Import Image Sequence workflow step.
- In the Import Sequence dialog box, do one of the following:
- If the files are listed in order, use the Shift key and the left mouse button to select the desired files.
- If the files are not in order, use the Ctrl key and the left mouse button to select the desired files in the order in which they should appear in WormLab .
- Click WormLab loads the images as a sequence in a new tab.
Video playback controls
Playback buttons: Use the buttons to view the video/image sequence:

Move backward/forward one video frame/image in sequence. |

Move to first/last video frame/image in sequence. |
Scroll bar: Use the slider to scroll back and forth through the video/image sequence.
Frame number : Located to the left of the scroll bar, the text box displays the current frame number. You may also type in a frame number and hit enter on the keyboard to display a desired frame.
Key frame navigation: If a video does not scroll smoothly, checking the box may help enable smoother scrolling of videos with variable keyframe intervals.
fps (frames per second): Use the up and down arrows, or type a number into the text box, to select how many frames per second are displayed when the video/image sequence is played.
