Exporting Analysis Results to Microsoft Excel
What you need:
- Neurolucida Explorer,
version 4.60 or higher
- Microsoft Office Excel
2002 or higher
To export data to Excel
- Perform your analyses—See "Analyzing Tree Data "
- Click Analysis>Excel
Export; Neurolucida Explorer
formats the data generated for all the open analyses for export, starts MS Excel (if closed) and generates a workbook with one analysis per worksheet.
- Excel Export
exports data from all displayed reports. If
you don’t need data from a specific analysis, close the corresponding data table in Neurolucida Explorer before exporting.
- Each worksheet
is named after the corresponding Neurolucida Explorer analysis.
- Excel displays the numeric
data in the default General number format. If the
cell is not wide enough to show the entire number, Excel
rounds the numbers with decimals. The General number format also uses
scientific (exponential) notation for large numbers (12 or more digits).
You can't export diagrams to Excel.
To export select data from one analysis
- Perform your analysis -- See "Analyzing Tree Data "
- In the report, highlight the data you want to export -- the data must be in contiguous cells.
- Click Analysis>Excel
Export; Neurolucida Explorer
formats the selected data for export, starts Microsoft Excel (if closed) and generates a workbook with a worksheet containing only the selected data.
