This feature has been replaced and improved!
Neurolucida 360 software, version 2020 and later, includes a new Subvolume tool that simplifies the process of dividing large and/or complex image volumes into smaller, more manageable "chunks" to facilitate tracing.
Large volume reconstruction (lvr) window

You have several options to define the subvolume in Z:
- Set top/bottom of subvolume
- Set top and number of images
- Set number of images and bottom.
The distance between images is calculated automatically.

Mouse wheel focus: Use the slider to navigate faster or slower through Z.
Current location: XYZ coordinate for the center of the subvolume.
Desired: Modify the XYZ coordinate of the center of the subvolume.

The histogram displays a graphical representation of the dynamic range (visual brightness and contrast) of the image.
Absolute black (0%) is the lower-left corner (black triangle), while absolute white (100%) is the upper-right corner (white triangle).
Optimize: Expands the range of the histogram (from black to white triangle) to its full range (255 shades of luminosity); typically provides the "best" view of the image.
