Adjusting brightness, contrast and gamma

To adjust these settings, use the Image Adjustment panel.

NOTE: Adjustments are stored locally, not with the image on the server. This means that, if you look at the same image on another computer, you will not see your adjustments.

  1. Click the icon . Biolucida opens the Image Adjustment panel .
  2. Move the sliders to adjust brightness, contrast, and/or gamma. Biolucida displays the changes immediately.
  3. Click Save to save the changes locally. Click Undo Changes to reverse all the changes you've made.

To make adjustments in individual channels

  1. Check the Work on each channel separately box. Biolucida displays the Image Adjustment tool in channels view .
  2. Select a channel.
  3. Use the Brightness, Contrast, or Gamma sliders for adjustments.
  4. When satisfied with your adjustments, click Save to save the changes locally. Click Undo Changes to reverse all the changes you've made.

NOTE: Adjustments are cumulative. For example, if you adjust the brightness for the red channel in Channels view, then switch to simple view and adjust the brightness for all channels, two brightness adjustments are applied: the adjustment for the red channel AND the adjustment for all channels.
