Select Acquired SRS Image Series
Purpose

Use the Select Acquired SRS Image Series button to conduct stereology analysis using an image or image-stack series captured using systematic random-sampling (SRS) methodology.
This tool is useful for running the Fractionator and Area Fraction Fractionator probe probes on SRS image series.
Before you start
-

Open the data file for an SRS image or image-stack series using any of the following methods:
-

Drag the data file (i.e., .xml format) onto the Stereo Investigator window.

Click the Open data file icon in the quick-access toolbar on the top left of the Main window or in File > Open. - Type Ctrl-O on your keyboard and, in the Open window that appears, navigate to and select the data file, then click Open.

Go to Probes > Tools and click Select Acquired SRS Image Series. The Select an Acquired Systematically Random Samples (SRS) Series for Analysis dialog box opens.
 -

Choose the image series and probe:
- Select the SRS series from the list.
 - Select a probe from the Run using drop-down list.
 - Check the box to Modify Acquire Settings to enable modification of select SRS-acquisition settings.
 - Click OK.

The stereology probe or probe-workflow selected in the previous step opens.
- If you chose to Modify Acquire Settings in the previous step, a dialog box similar to that used for the SRS image-series acquisition may open; you can typically change some of the settings (others will be grayed out).
 -

Probes that do not have a workflow will typically be at the step where you choose a marker and begin counting.
