3D settings

Purpose

The 3D Settings function saves automatic detection and tracing settings for soma, trees, spines, varicosities, and puncta, as well as automatic spine classification settings. You can save settings separately for each object type (e.g., settings for automatic soma detection only), or save the settings together (e.g., settings for automatic soma tracing and automatic tree detection).

Procedures

Experiment with the automatic detection/tracing tools to determine the settings that work well for your images.

To save settings:

1. Click the 3D Settings button in the 3D Environment.
2. In the 3D Settings window that opens, click Save Current Settings.
3. Enter a name for the settings and Click OK. The name is added to the SetName list.

To use saved settings:

1. Click the 3D Settings button.

2. Click the name of the desired settings in the SetName list.

3. Click Load. Settings are loaded.

To delete saved settings:

1. Click the 3D Settings button.

2. Click the name of the desired settings in the SetName list.
3. Click the X icon. The settings are removed from the list.
