Change Scene Display panel (3D)

Purpose

Use the Change Scene Display panel to modify display settings, such as adding scale bars, 3D-stereo effects, and background colors.

Click the Change Scene Display button in the 3D Visualization window to view the panel.

3D scale bar

Show scale bar: Check/uncheck the box to show/hide X, Y, and Z axis scale bars and to enable/disable display of axis labels:

  • Check/Uncheck the box next to each axis to show/hide its labels.
  • Type in the open box to change axis-label names.
  • Use the color picker to change the color of axis annotations.
  • Change the color of the X, Y, and Z axis scale bars using the Grid color picker

Bounding box: Check/uncheck the box to show/hide a box at the periphery of the image.

Grid: Check/uncheck the box to show/hide a grid appropriate for the X, Y, and Z axis scale bars.

Display settings

  • 3D stereo view: Check the box then select the mode supported by your 3D monitor from the drop-down menu.

    Uncheck the box to exit 3D stereo view.

  • Show 3D Axes: Check/uncheck the box to show/hide the 3D axes indicator on the lower left side of the image display.

Background color blend

Set the top and bottom background colors with the color pickers. When different colors are selected for top and bottom, a fade effect is applied.

The settings in this panel are applied to the next image you load, or images loaded the next time you start the program.

Arrow Options

Use the drop-down menu to choose a display color for Detect Orientation arrows.

  • Orientation Score: Displays the arrows as their orientation score as a gradient from red (maximum) to blue (minimum).
