Practical Demonstration of the Optical Fractionator Workflow

ABSTRACT:
The Optical Fractionator is a design-based stereology method for unbiased determination of cell populations. Dr. Susan Hendricks will demonstrate the step-by-step implementation of the Optical Fractionator Workflow within Stereo Investigator. Using a Zeiss brightfield microscope controlled by Stereo Investigator, Susan will demonstrate how to set-up and count huntingtin aggregates live, fielding your questions along the way. Aspects of data collection and reporting will be discussed as well as tips to improve your efficiency.

This presentation will demonstrate efficient use of the Optical Fractionator Workflow for cell population estimation using Stereo Investigator.
