File formats supported
Biolucida supports these formats:
- JPEG2000 (.jpx/.jp2)
- Aperio (.svs)
- Nanozoomer (.ndpi/.vms/.vmu)
- JPEG (.jpeg/.jpg)
- TIFF (.tiff/.tif)
- Olympus VSI (.vsi): Support is limited to specific versions of VSI.
- Zeiss CZI (.czi): Restrict the use of this format to small images as it doesn't stream well. This format is only available on Windows servers and clients. It is not compatible with Linux-based Biolucida Servers or Mac OS X based Biolucida Viewer clients.
- XMP sidecar (.xmp): Supported, although this is technically not an image format.
