System Requirements for AutoNeuron

AutoNeuron systemAutoNeuron can be configured to run
on a full Neurolucida system, or as a
standalone workstation.

AutoNeuron operates as a plug-in to Neurolucida. The automated tracing works on image stacks (or 2D images) loaded into Neurolucida. The hardware requirements are higher than the general requirements for Neurolucida. In particular, a faster CPU and more memory are required. The currently limit for stack size (as of Version 2.0) is about 500 MB. If you have larger stacks, please contact our AutoNeuron team. We can run a test on your stack size and adjust the software if necessary.

These are the computer system requirements for running AutoNeuron software.

  • PC with Intel Pentium® 4 or higher recommended
  • Microsoft Windows Windows 2000 or Windows XP
  • 1 GB RAM minimum (we recommended at least 2GB RAM)
  • 100 GB or larger hard drive
